Head counts are completed by walking through both floors of the library and counting the number of patrons. This information, including how many people are in study rooms, is recorded in the Head Count form below.

We will be using the floor plan quadrant headcount for the 2023-2024 academic year. In addition to counting the total number of people on the first and second floor, we will be also counting how many people are in each quadrant labelled on the floor plan maps in the headcount form.

While conducting your head counts, please check the faculty reading room door while you are passing by. If you notice is open and there's not a faculty member or their belongings inside, please close the door. Also, if you notice students in there, please politely inform them that the room is for faculty use only and suggest other spaces in the library for them to use and then lock the door once they leave.

Please note that these times change when there are shortened hours.

Doing the head counts is the responsibility of the student working at desk B, but other students should help if necessary.
