Breaks
Student Assistants may work up to 4.5 hours without a break. If scheduled for 4.5 to 5 hours, they are entitled to a ten minute break with pay. If they are scheduled for 6 hours or more, they are required to take a half-hour break without pay. Breaks must be scheduled at a time mutually agreed on by the Student Assistant and Supervisor, and may NOT be scheduled at the end of a shift as a means to leave early.
