Library Services Student Assistant Guide

The Assessment, Tests, & Measures database can be used to search for education tests that Le Moyne owns.

• Use the facets on the right side to narrow down a search

• Education tests are a special collection which only students enrolled in certain classes are able to check out
  • The names of these students are posted in a paper (or sometimes multiple papers) which are tacked to the wall behind the library services desk near the control panel
• All of the education tests are housed behind the library services desk
• If a student comes to the desk requesting to check out an education test, first make sure their name is on one of these lists
  • If they say they are enrolled in one of the classes that uses these tests but their name is not on the list, please call out a supervisor
• A list of all the education tests we have, along with their call numbers, are provided next to the list of approved students and taped to the wall next to that section
• Once you've located the item, it needs to be checked out to the patron
  • Before checking it out to them, verify that all parts of the test are accounted for
    • This can be done by comparing the contents list, usually taped to the inside of the box, to what is actually contained in the box
    • If any parts are missing, make note of that so the patron is not blamed when item is returned and also inform Lisa Chaudhuri
  • The patron will get the item for 3 hours to use in the library
    • Note: under no circumstances can these tests leave the library
• When education tests are returned...
  • Before checking them in, you need to verify that all part of the test are accounted for
    • This can be done by comparing the contents list, usually taped to the inside of the box, to what is actually contained in the box
    • If any parts are missing inquire with the patron
      • Sometimes if they had multiple tests checked out items may have gotten placed in the wrong box
      • If missing items could not be located, do not check in item, and call out a supervisor
    • If all items are accounted for, the item needs to be checked in and placed back in the education test section by call number order
