Carol Adamec : Playing With Fire: Ceramics, Cast Bronze, and Welded Steel

An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 28 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. for Carol Adamec's show "Playing With Fire: Ceramics, Cast Bronze, and Welded Steel." The exhibit will be on display in the Wilson Art Gallery, located in the Noreen Reale Falcone Library at Le Moyne, from February 28 through March 28 during regular library hours.
Adamec's work is a three-dimensional interpretation of life's enjoyable sensations. Through her work, the artist seeks to express the reality of positive emotions we feel in our daily lives. Adamec has said that she is "always deeply satisfied when people see, feel, appreciate and enjoy the expression of relationships, nature and movement" in her works.
Adamec's work has been displayed in a variety of venues over the past 30 years, including the Rome Art and Community Center, the Everson Museum in Syracuse, Art in the Heart in Ithaca, Sibley's Ward Gallery in Rochester, and the Red Sky Gallery in Charlotte, N.C. Her work has received numerous awards over the years, including many honors from her exhibits at the New York State Fair.
She holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the SUNY College of Ceramics at Alfred University and has completed graduate work in sculpture from Syracuse University. She has worked as an art teacher at several Rochester and Syracuse area schools.
