Richard Barnett : The Road to Catharsis

Richard Barnett will exhibit a series of 30 black-and-white photographs of roadside crosses and other improvised memorials that have caught his attention. Through his work, Barnett seeks to take something very common and to look at it in an uncommon way.
A commercial and fine art photographer for close to 20 years, Barnett has displayed his work in several group shows nationally, including, New York, and in solo shows at New Jersey's Watchung Arts Center and elsewhere. His photos have been published in Southern Quarterly, and are held in numerous private collections as well as the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Va.
An opening reception will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Friday, October 16.
