Service Announcements
Edit access to the Library homepage is tightly controlled, with only the Systems Librarian able to directly edit content on that page.
The Web Committee wanted to provide a way to allow librarians to quickly publish a service announcement to the homepage – e.g., for building closures, service outage announcements, and the like. Announcements published here will appear at the top of the right column on the homepage.
This option is not intended to replace the News and Announcements blog. Most of the time, it will not contain any content.
