This exhibit by artist Marc Safran features a series of dramatic black-and-white photographs capturing the essence of the Maha Kumbh Mela festival. The largest recorded pilgrimage in history, this religious gathering- which occurs every 144 years- attracted over 450 million worshippers. Each photograph is intended to convey the spiritual intensity, cultural richness and visual depth of this extraordinary event.
