Artist's Statement: The most exciting part of being an abstract artist in mixed media is the experimental discovery process itself. Many times my journeys begin with preconceived ideas and have morphed into my letting my imagination guide me to endless "uncharted happenings" artistically. Breaking the shackles of traditional guidelines have opened the doors to many delicious, artistic pleasures and has been a source of continuing satisfaction as the artist-creator. I love the fact that I can create something no one has seen before. Hopefully my art will engage the viewers and evoke their imagination and senses.
Karen Harris is is an award-winning artist who has a BFA in illustration from Syracuse University. She creates abstract works of art that evoke the viewers’ senses and imaginations.
