Student Reserve Service Guidelines
How to Retrieve Reserves
Electronic reserves
- Electronic reserves can be retrieved though the library catalog by searching by the course name/number or professor, selecting the appropriate course and then clicking on the reading
- A valid Le Moyne username and password are necessary to view the materials
Print reserves
- Print Reserves are located at the library circulation desk
- Students will need their Le Moyne ID card in order to check out materials
Loan Periods
Books
- Books are loaned out for 2 hours, in library use only
Media materials
- Media materials, like video recordings, are loaned out for 3 hours, in library use only
- There is a media viewing area provided in the library with TV’s and DVD/VHS players
Overnight
- Reserve items can be loaned out overnight or for 5 days, if requested by the professor
Renewals and Fines
Renewals
- Books can be renewed once, for another 2 hour period
- Media materials cannot be renewed
Fines
- Book (2 hour), media (3 hour) and overnight reserves
- Fines will be assessed at the rate of $1.00 for each hour overdue, up to a maximum of $15.00
- 5 Day Reserves
- Fines will be assessed at the rate of $1.00 for each day overdue, up to a maximum of $5.00
