Library Instruction

Using Library Resources in Canvas

There are many ways that you can use or embed library resources directly in your Canvas course. If you are interested in incorporating library resources in your Canvas course, please reach out to your subject librarian, or to Kari Zhe-Heimerman (zheheikm@lemoyne.edu).

Here are some of the resources that you can embed directly in your Canvas course:

  • Course Guide – Librarians create course guides to help students find books, databases, journals, videos, etc. relevant to your specific course. These guides can even be tailored to a particular assignment(s) in your course.
  • Subject Guide – Librarians create subject guides to help students find books, databases, journals, videos, etc. related to a particular subject. This option is available if you don't want a course guide.
  • List of Databases –  You can include the databases most relevant to your course.
  • Search Boxes –  You can include specific search boxes for searching library content.
  • Links to Journal Articles –  You can include specific journal articles that you want your students to read or use.
