Tips for Finding Sources
1. Search in More Than One Place
- After you finish searching one search tool, try searching for the same topic in a different one- each offers something different!
2. Browse Suggested Readings
- When you find a good source, look to either side of the screen and check for More Like This, Related Text, etc. to see if there are suggestions for further reading on your topic
3. Browse the Bookshelves
- Each item the library owns has a call number or a unique series of letters and numbers printed on its spine
- Call numbers group items on the same topic together on the bookshelves
- When you get books, browse the titles around what you take to find more sources
