Message from the Director of the Library

March 24, 2020

Dear students and faculty,

As we confront the challenges of the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I am grateful and also inspired by all that everyone in the library and our entire community is doing. Changes will continue to happen quickly, sometimes with little or no notice.

One such change today is that the library building staff are no longer in the building every day, nor answering our 445-4330 phone number. The recording at that number refers you to  https://resources.library.lemoyne.edu/askus.

This fully remote staffing means we are no longer granting any access to our print book collection to scan titles not available as ebooks. We are still placing orders for ebooks when in your consultation with your librarian you express this need.

As previously announced, the librarians are staffing the online Ask Us virtual reference chat and they are also ready and able to set up Zoom meeting appointments using this same web page link. The librarians' appointment calendars indicate the available slots that you can choose when you go to https://resources.library.lemoyne.edu/askus you choose the option of "Ask Us by Appointment."

The library staff remains committed to coaching and guiding you through your course assignments.

Thank you for your patience as we work diligently on your behalf while we better insure the safety of our employees

Thank you,

Inga H. Barnello
