Approval: Director of the Library or the subject matter collection development librarian. Accepted items will either be added to the Library collection, sold by a third party vendor that will send to the library a percentage of the net sales, or sent to the missions.
Recognition: If donation accepted and the donor does not care to be recognized, then no further action is necessary on the part of the donor or Le Moyne College. If donor does want to be recognized for their donation, the recognition will apply only to items added to the Library collection. If the donation has no significant value, the donor may be recognized by Le Moyne College only by a physical count of items donated, and only for those items added to the Library collection.
Appraisals: Not provided. If an appraisal is desired, the donor must seek the services of a professional appraiser before contacting the Library. A copy of the professional appraisal must accompany the donation if the donor wants to be formally recognized for the donation.
Delivery: If accepted, the donor is responsible for delivery of the donation to the Library. Transportation services may be provided for large, valuable donations.
