Researching issues

  1. Brainstorm Search terms
  2. Use your terms in the Library Catalog and the LeMoyne databases recommended to you for books and full text results.
  3. Check the recommended databases
  4. Wherever you search, take advantage of the databases' limit-setting features.

When you have some good choices, pay attention to

  • keywords
  • subject category
  • References
  • Citations, if available

If this is a long-term project, set up alerts in the databases you found most useful.  Ask at the Library if you need help.

Use APA Style Central to check your citations or start a paper within it. Ask a Librarian to show you how.

Joanna Briggs Institute is a searchable database offering the latest in Evidence Based Practice. Look for systematic reviews on your subject here.
