Why is the difference between desk A and desk B important?
Students will be automatically be assigned to either desk A or desk B at the time the schedule is created.
Please note that while one desk may be primary on a certain tasks, if the individual working that desk is away or busy, the other student must take on their responsibilities. Also, at no point can both students be away from the desk at the same time. At least one student must remain at the desk at all times.
Desk A
Which desk is desk A?
Desk A is the seat at the Library Services Desk closest to the ILL Office.
Primary tasks:
- Desk A opening and closing tasks
- Greet/welcome tours that pass by IF YOU ARE ALONE.
- Exit control
Desk B
Which desk is desk B?
Desk B is the seat at the Library Services Desk farthest from the ILL Office.
Primary tasks:
- Desk B opening and closing tasks
- Greet/welcome the tours that pass by the desk.
- Head counts
- 9pm Relaxation Station reset (can be combined with 9pm headcount)
- Manually locking the 3 doors at the start of card entry hours
